According to Wine Spectator, some of the best wines in the world are a short drive from The Casitas of Arroyo Grande.

Annually, the year end issue of Wine Spectator reports their rankings for the top 100 wines in the world.  The rankings are based on thousands of tastings of wines from every wine regions the world over.  This year the French, Napa Valley, the Aussies, South Africans and South Americans have to take a back seat to wines from San Luis Obispo County.  According to Wine Spectator the #1 ranked wine in the world is from Paso Robles.  Saxum's 2007 "James Berry Vineyard" blend scored a 98.  The #13 wine in the world comes from a vineyard literally right around the corner from The Casitas.  Alban Vineyards "Syrah Edna Valley Alban Estate Reva 2006" gives SLO county 2 wines in the top 13!  And there's more...#33 also comes from Paso's Tablas Creek's "Esprit de Beaucastel Paso Robles 2007" gives SLO county 3 wines in the top 33 in the world, impressive indeed.

There is more, just to the south in Santa Barbara county, Zaca Mesa checks in with the # 29.  Their "Syrah Santa Ynez Valley 2006" gives the region 4 wines in the top 33.  The Casitas of Arroyo Grande Bed & Breakfast is centrally located to this truly world class wine region.  Come join us and see for yourself why this is the best region in the world.
